Learning Workforce SkillsRiverhead High School’s Transition Team has created a pilot internship program called “Transition School to Work Program” to prepare students for a successful transition into the world of work. The students’ job experiences include: customer service, zoning areas, product lines and learning about the various trades represented at several locations throughout the community. >See Internship Experiences

Students in the School to Work program participate in pre-vocational workshops before entering into a four-week internship in a local community business.

Through career interest surveys, students will have the opportunity to learn about various careers by professionals within our local community. Students will learn first hand the educational pathways, important experiences and life lessons within their respective fields.
